Goldman Sachs To Invest $1 Billion In India

It was clear that Goldman Sachs had grand plans for India when they decided to part ways with Kotak Mahindra and go solo in Indian market. The global investment banking giant said it would invest $1 billion in India for expanding operations in sectors like real estate and infrastructure. This is in line with Goldman’s long term view on India. “The company will make capital investment of $1 billion across sectors including real estate and infrastucture over the next two years,” Goldman Sachs India LLC CEO L Brooks Entwistle said on the sidelines of a CII conference in Delhi. The investment will be for across the sectors. “We are in the process of building all our businesses in the country over a period of time and we have long term commitment to the country,” he said.
